Lance Griffith

Lead designer and owner Lance Griffith has been with CHD Interiors for 44 years, earning a reputation for providing quality service with an uncommon design approach. Since 1977, Lance has helped propel CHD Interiors into the forefront of the interior design industry by securing projects and clients both nationally and internationally, with his designs often landing in the pages of some of the most well-recognized home publications in the Southeast. Over the years, Lance’s key relationships with vendors across the U.S. and around the world have helped him continuously curate one-of-a-kind designs for his clients.

Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, via Florence, SC, Lance has always had a passion for art and creative projects. He studied business, advertising and marketing with a minor in art at the University of South Carolina. Before CHD Interiors, Lance also held a position as the creative art director at an advertising and public relations firm in Greenville, SC.

When he’s not busy designing and traveling around the world for international buying trips, Lance enjoys spending time with his family.

Megan Sandefur

Megan Sandefur

Megan brings a unique and impressive background to the CHD Interiors Design Team. Megan graduated at the top 5% of her class at Florida Coastal Law School before practicing law for 6 years at Nelson Mullins law firm in Charleston, SC. It was at this time that Megan decided to transition out of her career in law to pursue a full-time position with her father - CHD Interiors owner Lance Griffith - in the family business.

Having grown up in a family of interior designers, Megan was a natural for the business. She started by working alongside her father on several of CHD’s high-end interior design projects and took over much of the business management, marketing and client relations. It wasn’t long before Megan's eye for design and her ability to translate a client's vision made her a key player on the CHD design team. She has since executed countless high-end residential and commercial interior design projects and has built lasting relationships with her clients.

Apart from her time managing projects at CHD, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids – Lily and Jackson – at the beach, on the boat, or by the pool. She also enjoys playing tennis, tackling DIY projects, and traveling.

From a very young age, Julie’s passion has been interior design. Julie has now been working professionally in the design field for more than 12 years, and couldn’t imagine herself working in any other profession. She has worked in diverse interior spaces with dramatic results, and has received consistent praise for her abilities to create a truly personal space.

When it comes to her role at CHD, Julie enjoys creating a space for her clients that showcases both their personalities and lifestyles, and that inspires them every day. Julie gets the greatest satisfaction when her designs are beautiful and truly lived in, and believes a beautifully designed space is not just a work of art, but it’s also a way of living.

When she’s not helping her clients perfect the intimate details of their home décor or scouring Pinterest for design inspiration, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends.

Gabrielle Pendarvis

Gabrielle Pendarvis

Gabrielle was born and raised here in Charleston, South Carolina. It was here, growing up surrounded by all of the gorgeous, historical buildings & beaches that Charleston has to offer that she realized her passion for architecture and interior design. Attending the Art Institute of Charleston, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Interior Design. '

On the month of graduation Gabrielle found herself working with an interior design firm where she dove head first into residential, commercial and hospitality jobs around town. Growing up in such a character-rich city, as Charleston, has left a lasting impression on Gabrielle’s design style and life. When she’s not working hard on design projects, Gabrielle loves to travel. One of her biggest beliefs is that “Culture is knowledge.” Being well-traveled and being able to understand the inner-workings of her clients' background is a strong basis for her design.

On an average day, Gabrielle likes to spend her days on the water with friends, in the gym working out, or loving on her 100lb pitbull, named Nixon.

Marina Crawford

Born and raised in New York, Marina’s love of style and design was inspired early on by her effortlessly chic grandmother. After graduating from Fordham University in the Bronx, Marina stayed in NY to appreciate some of her most beloved things – art, music and architecture.

She eventually settled in Charleston in 2005 to be closer to family. With over fifteen years of design experience, Marina has worked on projects varying in size, aesthetic, and budget, including the year-long renovation of an 1863 Charleston single and the design of esteemed former Mayor Joe Riley’s office. Marina’s main goal in design, regardless of project size, is to ensure that the end result is a true reflection of the client. She loves spaces that are timeless, comfortable, approachable, and beautiful.

When she’s not working, Marina is at home on James Island with her husband, Rob; her stepdaughters, Lily & Abbie; and their three dogs, Waylon, Dottie, and Maggie.
