The CHD Design Team recently completed a master bedroom remodel just in time for the holidays! We’ve given you some tidbits on the unique process of this CHD Interiors transformation!

First, we began by replacing the paint on the walls for a crisp, updated look. The walls, now removed of their original decorative trim, were adorned with shiplap on both the ceiling and side walls.

This master bedroom’s new coastal chic style was enhanced with new engineered hardwood in a driftwood finish. Driftwood floor finishing helped to give our clients the Lowcountry, relaxed look they sought.

The bedroom furniture was replaced, in part, with new a new dresser, chair, and nightstands. The client couldn’t choose between two different styles of nightstands, so we did one of each to create a more “acquired” look and to avoid being too “matchy matchy.” The new nightstands we selected were a larger, more appropriate scale for the room and gave our clients much-needed storage!

For the finishing touches to this master bedroom remodel, we were able to achieve the epitome of CHD’s Lowcountry chic style through our choice of accessories. To achieve an upscale coastal feel, the artwork of marsh scenes were placed on each side of the door to give a nod to the coastal area we are fortunate to call home. Blue and white chinoiserie ginger jars were placed in the room for a touch of elegance. Ornate blue and white lamps were placed on each nightstand with a geometric pattern that gave the room an edge.

The transformation of this bedroom is stunning and is the perfect spot to begin and end your days. The clients loved their shiplap so much that we were even able to add it in their foyer as well. This coastal transformation invites a whole new sense of home into our clients’ space.
