The CHD design team immersed themselves in the transformation process of this Charleston, South Carolina home. Moving from the mountains to a more coastal, Lowcountry living area, the client wanted to incorporate a new style that aligns directly with Charleston’s new beginnings. From swapping red hardwoods for an engineered white oak, along with the utilization of elegant pops of color and pattern, the home is nothing short of stunning. Starting from the walls to the windows and everything in between, the CHD team had no issue transforming it into the space of their client’s dreams.

To liven up the space and add touches of coastal tones, the CHD team deliberately placed pops of color within the home, with exquisite artistic pieces and eye-catching, textured furniture dispersed throughout. The various incorporations of color add character to the home, while different placements of floral and plant arrangements give it an organic element and work together to create a harmonious living space. Each room’s visual appeal is enhanced by light fixtures, windows, and other forms of wall and ceiling d├ęcor, leaving the space feeling open and welcoming. The bedroom and kitchen areas are accentuated through gorgeous wallpaper and tile display, grabbing instant attention and collectively balancing the subdued color schemes embodied in other areas of the home.

Each room possesses its own sense of originality, embracing lighter hues and mixed patterns through each door you enter. The home has an oceanic yet unique feel, mixing elements from various design styles to result in a one-of-kind interior, allowing for the exact character and personal expression the client was dreaming of.

The design of this home features renowned manufacturers, including Century Furniture, Gabby Home, Surya, Essentials for Living, Currey & Company, Capris Furniture, and more. The window treatments incorporated in this space were custom-created by CHD Interiors with fabric lines such as Thibaut, Kravet, and Fabricut.

The CHD team had so much fun with this project and were happy to convert this living space into the one our client was envisioning.
