After meeting and getting to know a client’s loves, wants and needs, our designer’s creative process begins. There are many ways that the designers at CHD Interiors begin to develop a design concept for a project. One sure way that can spark creativity in all of our designers is selecting that first inspiration fabric…. fabrics that make you say “WOW. “ We look for a printed fabric full of color and possibilities. One signature fabric can hold the key to your home’s paint colors and furniture selections.

This is just one example of a signature fabric available in the CHD Interiors’ library of over a MILLION fabric samples. This print jump started the design concept of our client’s home.

These coordinate fabrics can be used throughout the home to create flow and harmony. To create an interesting space, coordinating fabric should be a mix of scale, texture, color and patterns. Don’t be frightened by a fabric with a lot of color and pattern. If it has more color or pattern than you are accustomed to, that fabric can be used in a small way such as a pillow in your grand design scheme.

These paint colors were pulled using the inspiration fabric’s color palette. If a lot of color on the wall intimidates you, keep your walls in the neutral shades and a blue or aqua color can be used as an accent color on your ceiling for an interesting detail.

Accessories are another way to pull ideas and color from an inspiration fabric. Lamps, throws and art are all great ways to incorporate your over all vision. This art, currently in our Murrells Inlet showroom, evokes the same feeling as our fabrics with out duplicating its pattern.

Our library is full of inspirational fabrics that can lead our design team to develop your perfect dream home. We want your home to express your individuality and spark your creativity.
